This will be Sonam Kapoor‘s second red carpet moment at the Cannes Film Festival. Though Sonam walked the Cannes red carpet for the first time last year, stil she almost got it right. She was wearing a Jean Paul Gaultier couture gown with Chopard earrings, Amrapali ring and Ferragamo shoes. Looked absolute gorgeous.

This year Sonam will be seen on the closing day of the festival. Can’t wait to see how she is going to surprise us.

Mallika Sherawat disappointed at the Cannes Film Festival 2012. She was wearing a stone colored Victoria Beckham dress. The dress was elegant but was not appropriate for the occasion. It looked bit dull. I think she could have done much better.

Also the hair style didn’t go well with the dress. Mallika did lot better in last year Cannes Film Festival. Wish she has something really good in store next.

YRF Entertainment CEO Uday Chopra has announced he is joining forces with Pierre-Ange Le Pogam of Stone Angels to produce and finance the upcoming Nicole Kidman vehicle, “Grace of Monaco”.

The film, to be directed by Olivier Dahan (“La Vie En Rose”), starts production this fall in South of France. YRF Entertainment’s development head, Jonathan Reiman, will serve as executive producer, along with the film’s writer, Arash Amel. Inferno is currently selling foreign rights to the film at the Cannes Film Festival.

The movie tells the story of efforts by the late Princess Grace of Monaco (the former Grace Kelly, played by Nicole Kidman) to make peace between her adopted country and France. Grace, just 33 years old and having just given up an acting career to become Monaco’s First Lady, maneuvered through a political minefield to resolve the situation, as detailed in the film.

The project is the latest move by YRF Entertainment, a Beverly Hills-based production and financing company that is a subsidiary of Indian studio Yash Raj Films, to develop, finance, and produce English language films for the U.S. and global market. Both Uday Chopra and Pierre-Ange Le Pogam are particularly pleased to be teaming up to bring “Grace of Monaco” to the big-screen.

Chopra says, “‘Grace of Monaco’ is the kind of movie that has a perfect blend of talent and sensibility that YRF Entertainment is proud to be a part of. We look forward to a great partnership with Olivier and Pierre-Ange.”

Le Pogam says, “When I first read the script written by Arash Amel, I thought it was a great story to tell, with a lot of artistic, historical and emotional potential. This is why I invited Olivier Dahan to become the director because he has this artistic vision. When Olivier and I met with Nicole Kidman for the first time, we felt immediately she was the right artist to portray Princess Grace. When I then met with Uday, I had the same feeling after our conversation. He was obviously the right partner because of his beautiful vision of the movie. We are very proud and enthusiastic to be sharing the experience of working together with YRF.”

YRF Entertainment is currently also overseeing post-production on Peter Glanz’s upcoming comedic feature, “The Longest Week”, starring Jason Bateman and Olivia Wilde, and has a slate of films in development.

Emraan Hashmi is flying high, after giving hits after hit. Not only he is signing new exciting projects but also he has increased his price. Emraan has signed Vishal Bhardwaj’s next movie ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ , which Vishal is co-producing with Ekta Kapoor.

Alnog with Emraan, three actress have been roped in in the movie – Konkona Sen Sharma, Kalki Koechlin and Huma Qureshi. Huma Qureshi is a new actress whose debut film Gangs of Wasseypur is yet to release but already she bagged this big role.

The music of the movie will be scored by Vishal himself and reports are there that Emraan has requested Vishal to compose a song which is as good as “Dhan Te Nan” from Kaminey movie.

Not only maximum of Emraan Hashmi’s movies are hit but also the songs in the movies are always a big hit. Hope the same record continues with Ek Thi Daayan movie.

Bollywood’s most respected couple Ajay Devgan and Kajol have got another reason to be admired for. The couple will be working on a social awareness film next, a film on female foeticide.

Ajay’s publicist confirmed this saying, “Yes both Ajay and Kajol will be acting in the film. The Maharashtra government had approached them for the film which will be a part of their campaign against female foeticide.”

Ajay’s script for a social awareness film has been approved by the state’s health department. The Health Minister Suresh Shetty said the department has appreciated the script and all efforts will be made so that it reaches maximum number of theatres.

The shooting of the movie will be started soon and the actors have decided to star in the film free of cost.
